Tammy Faye Messner on Larry King: I don’t fear death
July 20th, 2007 by MJ

The video is heartbreaking, sad and yet inspiring. A rail thin and sick Tammy Faye, 65, stopped receiving cancer treatments (for lung, colon and bone cancer) in May and has hospice care in her home since then. She asked doctors not to tell her how much time she has left to life. ”I don’t fear. I am concerned but I do not fear.” ”I talk to God every single day, and I say, God, my life is in your hands, and I trust you with me”. She had her trademark heavy makeup on and spoke in a very raspy voice.
She said she takes morphine to ease the pain of swallowing food. “All I eat is chicken soup and rice pudding”. Asked if she had any life regrets, Tammy Faye said: “I don’t think about it, Larry, because it’s a waste of good brain space. I believe when I leave this earth, because I love the Lord, I’m going straight to heaven.”
Her message to to viewers was “I genuinely love you, and I genuinely care. And I genuinely want to see you in heaven someday.” She has not lost faith and is still hopeful. Its inspiring. Amazing. (video)
