Doesn’t anyone want to see a picture of Jessica Alba’s baby?

June 10th, 2008 by Dave Hanson

Jessica Alba had her baby this weekend and the news has been conspicuously devoid of anything about her baby photos being sold to a magazine for millions of dollars.  Jessica told the Daily News last week that there hadn’t been any offers, and you have to wonder – how lousy does this make her husband Cash Warren feel?   He probably wangled his way into her graces by convincing her he was a big Hollywood presence – now his DNA has rendered a half-Alba bambino valueless.   J.Lo and Marc Anthony got $6 million and people like Sheryl Crow, Nicole Richie, and Christina Aguilera  — all lesser lights than Jessica Alba — have made millions.   Jessica has to be wondering if she should have married Good Luck Chuck co-star Dane Cook or Fantastic Four co-star Michael Chiklis or even James Cameron who created Dark Angel, really anyone other than Mr. Suck-The-Fame-Out-Of-My-Baby Warren.

Jessica Alba marries Cash Warren

May 23rd, 2008 by Dave Hanson

Jessica Alba and Cash Warren were quietly married in Beverly Hills this week.  That’s nice.   But somehow any news about celebrities this week that isn’t from Cannes is sort of sad – kind of like reading about baseball players who tell everyone they’re excited about not making the All-Star team because they can really use the three days off to go home and take care of their lawn.  Or how when a whole office takes a business trip to Hawaii and someone has to stay back at the home office and answer the phones.   Congratulations on your marriage, Jessica – hopefully things’ll go better next year and you’ll get to go to Cannes.

Jessica Alba: karma’s a bitch

June 15th, 2007 by MJ

“I always felt like I was born into the wrong family. I didn’t feel I belonged and I felt that I should have been royal, and nobody knew that except me” says Jessica.   Jessica’s father is Mexican and her mother is Danish/French.  Jessica says her parents were poor and life was tough.  “I knew I would have to get out of that environment and make a lot of money, so I created that for myself at a young age as an actress.”  You have to admire her for working hard to achieve her goals.  Nothing was handed to her.  Although her mixed heritage was a problem in school  “I was shunned by the Latin community for not being Latin enough” as an actress it makes her more interesting.   She was very determined and at age 11 she started taking acting classes.  She is most definitely disciplined and believes in going after what she wants.

When asked who her role models are she answers Tom Cruise and Will Smith.  Those are not the answers one expects. And why are they her role models.  ”Because they really understand a brand and go for it.”

She’s beautiful but also very “driven”.  ”Sometimes you have to learn lessons over and over again; karma’s a bitch. You’re meant to go through hard things in life to evolve.”  What a wonderful country we live in.  It is a country where a poor girl (like Jessica) can become a movie star.  She had no connections but was determined.  She has already achieved many of her goals.   She is famous and has financial security.  She will never have to worry about being poor again.
